Before I ran this copy I tried to get the TwonkyMedia server running using: /etc/init.d/twonkymedia.sh start this gave the error: 19:37:57:000 LOG_XML:can not read device description xml file: devicedescription-orange-stbu.xml Critical error. ![]() Ssh into your nas and run the following cp /mnt/ext/opt/twonkymedia/resources/devicedescription-dlna-1-5.xml /mnt/ext/opt/twonkymedia/resources/devicedescription-orange-stbu.xml /etc/init.d/twonkymedia.sh start Thanks ozdave. Ozdave wrote:guys the temp fix for me on this involved the following. The "cp /mnt/ext/opt/twonkymedia/resources/devicedescription-dlna-1-5.xml /mnt/ext/opt/twonkymedia/resources/devicedescription-orange-stbu.xml" gives the 5.1.4 TwonkyMedia server the file it wants and obviously it's happy with it! It's a workaround rather than a fix but saves you from downgrading the QNAP firmware. Halting Sytstem! Obviously, the 5.1.4 version requires this file and/or has been packaged badly, this 'devicedescription-orange-stbu.xml' file is unavailable and the server immediately shuts down. ![]() ![]()
